Ingredients:
- For the Double Smash Burgers:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended) 🍖

- 4 slices of cheese (American or cheddar) 🧀
- 4 burger buns 🍞
- Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, onions (as desired) 🥬🍅🥒
- For the Chips:
- 2 large potatoes, cut into wedges or use frozen chips 🥔
- 2 tablespoons olive oil 🫒
- Salt and pepper, to taste 🧂
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional) 🌶️
Instructions:
- 1. Make the Chips:
- If using fresh potatoes, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- If using frozen chips, follow the package instructions for cooking.
- 2. Prepare the Burgers:
- While the chips are baking, heat a skillet or griddle over high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions (about 2 oz each). Roll into balls but do not compact them too much.
- Place 2 balls in the skillet, spacing them apart. Use a spatula to press down firmly to smash them into thin patties. Season with salt and pepper.
